Taking care of your health during the COVID-19 outbreak with TeleHealth

TeleHealth and virtual visits have quickly become a valuable resource for healthcare providers during the coronavirus pandemic.  When appropriate, virtual visits can allow individuals to maintain social distancing requirements, reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 and protect vulnerable health care workers while still receiving personalized treatment.

We understand how the coronavirus outbreak has made in person appointments difficult for many individuals seeking much-needed care. But there are still ways we can support our patients. Providing telehealth options allow patients to see a doctor in the comfort of their own home, reducing potential virus exposure for them and their health care worker.

Helena Medical Group offers telehealth options to ensure continued access to these important services. Much care can now be done through virtual appointments, including:

• Medication checks
• Screens for depression
• Medicare Annual Wellness Exams
• Evaluation of symptoms (rashes, flu, strep, COVID-19, etc)

Patients can schedule a telehealth appointment and conduct a visit via laptop, telephone or tablet for primary care. Our office then sends a secure link or text message so the patient can connect with the physician at the scheduled appointment time.

We also offer a testing program for COVID-19 at our Swab Clinic located at Helena Regional Medical Center at the Medical Office Building located at 1803 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Suite A.  A member of our team will deliver your intake paperwork while you remain in your vehicle until time to collect the sample.  This service is available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  Please bring a photo ID and your insurance card or Simple+Price (self-pay $125).  Appointments are encouraged, please call (870) 816–3400 to schedule an appointment today.
